A2: Music playback by wireless Bluetooth streaming or USB/CD player or external media player
A3: wireless amplification from playing a Acoustic, electric guitar, bass, keyboard, saxophone, trumpet, violin, keytar for a true wireless freedom from bodypack & cables.
Q: What is the typical operating range of A MIPRO wireless mic?
A: MIPRO receiver uses advanced diversity design, therefore, a user can move around & up to line-of-sight 90-meter (300-feet) away from A wireless portable PA system.
Q: Can I use 2 wireless mics & transmit to only 1 receiver at the same time?
A1: The answer is no if the frequency is the same for both wireless mics & receiver. One receiver can only receive (demodulate) the signal from one active transmitter (mic) at a time Turn on only 1 mic at a time when you've have more than 1 mic on the same frequency. Unintelligible interfering noises will be heard when one receiver is receiving at the same time from two active mics. You will need to "alternate" back & forth between two mics.
A2: If you want to use 2 wireless mics at the same time, the portable PA system itself needs to have two receivers installed. Plus, the 2 wireless mic need to be programmed to 2different frequencies which correspond with the 2 receivers.
Q: Can I use multiple receivers with one transmitter? Meaning, am I able to use 1 wireless mic & broadcast to multiple wireless PA systems with the receiver installed?
A: The answer is yes if the frequency is the same for the wireless mic & all the receivers. This is a good solution to double or triple the power & to exp& the coverage area wirelessly. You can theoretically use an infinite amount of wireless portable PA systems (receivers installed) with the same transmitter for an unlimited expansion coverage (within the radius range, of course). see transmission guideline diagram:
http://www.mipro.com.tw/upload/p_Data_en/20121226160734Fss4.pdf
Q: How to improve operating range & reduce dropouts?
A1: For optimum reception, line-of-sight (clear of obstacles in between you & the wireless PA )
should be maintained.
A2: Reduce the distance between the wireless PA & you with a wireless mic
A3: Place the portable PA on a speaker or mic tripod stand, 180cm(6') above ground & away from interference sources such as metallic objects & surfaces, computers, monitors, digital & electrical equipment, fluorescent lightings, dimmers & other radio equipment. (interference affects range)
A4: Select MIPRO diversity receivers over other non-diversity receivers for improved operating range
A5: Do not cup hands over Handheld transmitter mic's antenna. Do not coil or fold bodypack transmitter's antenna. Both impair transmission & therefore, reduced operating range
A6: Do not adjust the factory preset Sensitivity level unless experiencing severe interference
A7: Since human bodies absorb of RF energy, generally wearing a bodypack transmitter with a headset or lavalier mic attached to body part may reduce range compared to using a Handheld mic
Q: Difference between Diversity & Non-Diversity Design Receivers?
A: Primary reason for a diversity design is to reduce or eliminate dropouts when using a wireless mic. Diversity is a higher quality design, increases operating range & offers most reliable operation. Non-diversity is an inferior quality design, reduces operating range & offers frequent dropouts All MIPRO models use Diversity designed receivers where as more than 90% other brands do not.
Q: Why Select MIPRO's 'diversity' MRM-70B or MRM-72B receiver module?
A: Because most other brands use low-cost, inferior quality non-diversity design for their PA systems The most important factor in the operation of a wireless system is the overall quality of the receiver design. The better the receiver design, the better the overall performance of the entire system. MIPRO's operating range is typically 50~100% longer than competitors because of the improved technical specifications:
MIPRO receiver has higher Sensitivity (longer range, less dropouts), better Frequency Stability (stable signals without drifting, noise), better Selectivity (rejects interfering signals), better Spurious Rejection (rejects entire range of frequencies), higher S/N ratio & lower Audio Distortion (strong, clear signals, lower noises) & other specifications.
MRM-70B is a single-channel receiver, meaning it works with only 1 transmitter mic MRM-72B is a dual-channel receiver, meaning it works with two transmitter mics simultaneously MRM-70B fits MA-505, MA-707, MA-708, MA-808 MRM-72B fits MA-708, MA-808 only
Q: What is a signal dropout?
A: Dropout is hiss, static sound or the complete loss of signal (no sound or partial sound is heard during speaking or singing) The best way to avoid dropout is to select a higher quality, reliable diversity receiver design like a MIPRO MRM-70B or MRM-72B receiver module for best reception reliability.
Q: Symptoms & what to do when wireless PA system is experiencing interference?
Audible noises heard or "NOISE" indicator or RF meter is lit on MRM-70B or MRM-72B diversity receiver indicates the presence of interference. The best method to get rid of interference is to try to find a different frequency. 16 scannable frequencies are available in MRM-70B/72B. There are three potential solutions in dealing with interferences:
A1: Change to a Different Receiver Frequency Press "SCAN" button to quickly scan for one of the 16 clear, interference-free frequencies. Scanning stops automatically once a clear, interference-free frequency is located Align IR windows of both mic & receiver within 30cm of each other Press "ACT" button to sync the receiver frequency to transmitter automatically.
A2: Reduce or Manage the Interference There is a "SENSITIVITY" level with "- & +" indicators on both MRM-70B & MRM-72B If all 16 frequency channels are unable to overcome the interference try A2 Using a small screwdriver, adjust level counter-clockwise to the left-hand side, negative (-) sign. Adjust level incrementally until no audible noises are heard However, the downside of reducing sensitivity level will shorten the transmitting rang
A3: Change to a New Frequency Band f both methods, A1 & A2, can not overcome severe external interferences, a replacement of both the receiver module & wireless mic to a different frequency band is hereby recommended.
For example, change from current 5A to 5B or 5C or 2.4 GHz band
Q: Since all MIPRO wireless portable PAs are rechargeable, Are all MIPRO Handheld & bodypack rechargeable, too?
A: The newly-designed built-in lithium rechargeable ACT-32HC (Handheld) & ACT-32TC (bodypack) transmitters are now available besides the 2 AA-size disposable battery ACT-32H (Handheld) & ACT-32T (bodypack). However, the rechargeable transmitters are compatible only with the new wireless PA models ending with a "B" like MA-303S'B' or new receiver module model ending with a "B" like MRM-70'B'. Either rechargeable & disposable transmitter will work & compatible with wireless PA model & receiver module models ending with a "B".
Q: Can I add wireless mics or CD/USB players?
A: All medium to large sizes MIPRO PAs have modular design slots for future expandability. Most PAs are sold with 1 wireless mic. To add a 2nd or 3rd wireless, simply buy the "plug & play" diversity receiver module which takes 1 minute to install with fastening 2 screws MA-505 (up to 2 wireless), MA-707 (up to 2), MA-708 (up to 4), MA-808 (up to 4) The CD/USB player has a modular design, too, so it can be added at a later date when required
Q: What is a SCAN? What is an ACT (Synchronization, commonly known as Sync)?
A: Both mic & receiver must be on the same frequency in order to work with each other. Purpose of SCAN & ACT are to set-up frequency for both mic & receiver. SCAN receiver scans the environment to find A clear, interference-free frequency among the factory pre-programmed 16 channels. (MRM-70B or MRM-72B) ACT synchronizes (syncs) the receiver & mic frequencies automatically
Q: I have performed the 1-touch SCAN & ACT sync (synchronization) channel set-up function from receiver to Handheld or bodypack transmitter. However, there is no sound coming out from the portable PA. http://www.mipro.com.tw/su4_01_en.html?nid=18 (What is ACT sync)
http://www.mipro.com.tw/images/support/scansync.pdf (Scan & ACT sync)
A1: Check receiver & master volume controls & transmitter are all powered on
A2: Check the receiver & transmitter are operating on the same frequency band (5A to 5A).
A3: Once"ACT" is pressed from receiver, IR windows of receiver & transmitter are Aligned & greater than30cm
A4: Perform A2 within 7 seconds after ACT button is pressed
A5: If synchronization was done successfully, the receiver's RF indicator(s) is lit in green
A6: Repeat all steps, if ACT was not synced successfully.
Q: What is the normal range of MIPRO diversity receivers in wireless PA systems?
A: Up to 90-meter (300-feet) range with a line-of-sight environment is possible. Meaning, there are no obstacles standing between the wireless mic & wireless PA. 60-70 meter (200-230 feet) is a typical range. We are confident our wireless technology are superior compared with other wireless PA brands as they Are not original designers. Thus, sourcing wireless systems from a 3rd party is required & once integrated into their PA systems will have unnecessary overall cost added, sound quality, compatibility, shorter reception range, noise & interference issues. Please note, actual reception range depends on many variables, including RF signal, reflections, interference, crowd size, obstacles, metallic enclosures, placement of receiver & even if the transmitter is a Handheld (holding it by hand) or bodypack (worn on the body) has influenced.
Q: We have Applications that required audio or music to be broadcasted & heard for more 100 meters (330 feet) away. What are the options?
A: MIPRO models MA-505, MA-708 or MA-808 has a wireless interlinking system solution. Audio can be transmitted from a presenter or sound source to master speaker(s) & then from A master speaker(s) to various slave speakers All wirelessly without bulky connecting cables to greatly extend the range of coverage. Up to 300 meters or 1,000-foot range is possible.
